Horrible incident for a drag racing family on I-65 Interstate, north of Montgomery, AL today. We identified the racer and fortunately everyone is ok. After returning from Atmore Dragway’s Heads-Up event, their Motorhome caught fire. Fortunately, everyone escaped uninjured. We post this to encourage all racers and fans to have an escape plan, in case this happened to you. Great family and we wish them well as they recover from this fire. #dragcoverage #camaro #fire Video by M.Grayson ... See MoreSee Less
I never have my trailer doors locked during transport and have easy access to unload, just in case.
That Sucks so bad. I hope that the car is still ok. The RV is done and the trailer looks burnt also but they are still ok and not hurt. Who was it?
That's a hard video to watch....... Thank you all for the prayers. Eddie Shaw and Teresa Shaw are ok. Chris and I got the car out with a of couple of awesome people who unfortunately we didn't get their names but we are so thankful for. I thank God for watching over my parents and keeping us all safe. And for everyone saying prayer, state troopers, fire fighters, rescue, wrecker service we thank you all.
Good thing he has time to get the car out insurance can replace the other but not hrs working on a car
Damn that sucks, hate see racers have hard luck like that. I bet they are good people too. Hope they had insurance.

Glad they all made it out ok. You can always replace an RV or a trailer. You definitely can’t replace your car, especially with Insurance.

Instead of everyone coming up with the theories of what actually happened or condemning the man for having a drag car on the street, why can't you just keep your opinions to yourself and say a prayer for a fallen racer. You never know when someone close to this man may get on here and see all your opinions and at a time like this they don't need things to add to the situation they are going through. We have all made mistakes in our lives, and rather this guy was doing something wrong or not, he has lost his life and we should all feel lucky to have survived all the wrongs we have done.
It's not a race car it's a pro street car and there are thousands of them in this country. No one on here knows anything about what he was doing so keep your wrong opinions to yourself. He could have just been out enjoying his car and had a blow out or something might have run out in front of him. RIP and I hope there's cars like that in heaven.
Someone said he wasn’t wearing a helmet but at these speeds and a tree it most likely wouldn’t have mattered . Prayers to all
Why was he racing on the road where there are obstacles on each side???
Has slicks on it so maybe street racing? Maybe his opponent took him to the hospital and doesn't want any one yo know? Just a theory.
i find it funny how many peaple are condeming this guy for what he was doing when i will bet 90% of them have done the exact same thing at one point in their life (the pot calling the kettle black) i do hope he gets better and can fix his car
Nathan you are exactly right. An accident is just that...An accident no matter how it happens and for someone paying the ultimate price...That is sad.
To his family and friends my depressed condolences in this tough time.
Out of respect I'm keeping it short and sweet as I understand as we lost our 25 year old son in his Mustang on his way to work.
In times like this you need to think about what you say as this man was someone's son, friend and maybe a Dad and those people are suffering. Like your parents use to say " if you don't have nothing nice to say...Don't say anything ." In these times...Sorry for your loss works well . His loved ones are feeling bad enough...They don't need options too .
Prayers to his family. Promise he was smiling tell lost control. You can die walking across the street at least he was doing what he injoyed.
Who cares what happened...the poor guy is dead...R.I.P. people are so damn stupid.
Cant hate on the dude. If I had a car like that with the time, money, and effort involved, I'd probably take her for a ride every once and a while.
Look I didn't know the man from Jerrey or Larry. But rufus sounds like a dude with a mullet that died driving a car he loved with his favorite beer in his system. He went out bald eagles screaming. Lmao
well theres definitely worse ways to go at least he went with his car rip
RIP driver, he went out, doing what he loved.
I can't believe the negative comments and opinions . This poor guy lost his life in an accident and No one else was injured or killed. Why isn't " so sorry for their loss "... not enough ?
Geez people, stop with the unnecessary comments and just say prayers for this man’s family! Prayers sent. RIP
Street racing is stupid and deadly. We do have areas to race legally.
Prayers for his family for their loss.
Prayers for the family. He went out with his boots on
That damned sure was no street car...cage, slicks, lexan windows...he was testing where he shouldn’t have been. 😕
Keep on glamorizing street racing...this is why we have race tracks
Ed Stroh Chip-lester Gardner this is why I don’t like it. Seen it way to many times.
That is y I stopped street racing
GOD BLESS the loved ones
To much watching Street Outlaws Prayers for Family 😢
This sort of thing can & will keep happening unfortunately! This is the reason we have race tracks & safety equipment! Maybe the so called street racers should think about this !!!
