This isn’t going to help the class one single bit. The current engine specs regardless of block and head are not the problem. The rules on the fuel injection and intake are the problem. Many teams simply do not have the money to develop these systems. You can let any type of car body and block manufacturer you want get into the game. The point still remains that the class has become too expensive for most teams to afford. Most teams can race in Pro Modified for a fraction of the cost.

The only thing that I would like to see it is keep the factory body shell weather is a Challenger Camaro or Corvette or Mustang keep the factory body shell and put an engine in that maybe that would be better for the fans

A NEW kind of “crime” in Drag Racing. The final 2017 Dirty South No Prep Series Race at Hub City Dragway, MS faced challenges as someone secretly “prepped” the track in the early morning (around 6 am) prior to the race. DSNP posted a $2,000 Reward if you know who sprayed the track. Dirty South No Prep officials feel certain they know who, but needing evidence to find the responsible party guilty. Sources say around 6AM, the suspect hand sprayed the track, defeating the soul purpose of the entire event - “no prepped” track. According to the event organizer, the suspect sprayed the left lane about 120’ and 200’ in the right. Ok I've read all the bull shit about most of the people on here about no prep it's little dick prob because most of them minus bird jones disco dean and brad eglin. All of the guys bracket race or fast bracket race I was just in bowling green for there 3 10k (bracket race) had a buddie of my ball his monza up because of this no prep bull shit ( because after 300' no sticky) and had another buddie get sideways in a dragster so keep saying bracket racing is dead or lame last I checked there 2 million dollar races which both pay more then any of this lame ass no prep races... and we stay off the walls

I am a bracket racer and a class racer and have raced about every class you can run. Me and my brother took our class cars there to run the index classes because it pays more than an average bracket race. We have also helped out and put on our own event. They do have a few people that overdrive cars but for the most part most of these guys and gals have their shit together with nice equipment and driving ability. They do it because they love racing just like everyone else and now there is a place for them that has bigger payouts than a lot of bracket and definitely Nhra/Ihra events. We will be building at least 2 cars for these no prep races simply because that’s where the money is at. We have wrecked doing the stuff we do now so what’s the difference? If you go into a no prep with the mindset of NO HERO SHIT you will come out just fine!!!!

So it cost me at least $80 just to get a ticket for an NHRA event verses I can take 2 friends with me to a no prep event and not to mention most of the no prep guys are everyday people who enjoy conversating with the fans and hanging out !!! NHRA made it impossible for the poor man to go enjoy an event anymore think about that

They used one of those new Kurt E Johnson stealth tractors and sprayers so nobody would hear them!
Now this one unique ride!Here's a fun one we just finished for Will Carrell of Ardmore OK. We started with a 1960 Nash Metropolitan and fabricated a full chrome moly chassis for it. We used double adjustable Strange struts and brakes up front for suspension. We then built mounts for a ls, small block Chevy, and big block Chevy all backed by a powerglide transmission. Underneath is a fabricated 9" Ford housing with a four link, anti-roll bar and wishbone all of which is hanging from double adjustable Strange shocks. Space inside was at a premium but we mounted the battery and K&R air compressor in the trunk, while custom radiator and fuel cell where mounted up front. Inside we were able to shoe horn Will inside of it while giving him plenty of room and comfort to be double OO and dead on in this bracket machine!! B&M shifter and K&R delay box and switch panel round out this tiny but functional interior. We even reused the stock dash for a finished look with carbon fiber accents.
