GM to Auction Limited Edition Corvette to help fund Haiti Relief Efforts

General Motors will auction off a limited-edition 427 Cheverolet Corvette Z06 at the Barrett-Jackson auction on Saturday in Scottsdale, Ariz.  Any proceeds from the sale will help fund relief efforts in Haiti.

The proceeds will go to the American Red Cross to help fund it’s work in Haiti which was destroyed after a devastating earthquake.  GM donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross earlier for Haitian relief effors.

The Z06 up for auction is the last North American 427 car and the only 2008 Z06 painted red metallic.  The 427 is a big-block engine and produces 505 horsepower.
