Montgomery, AL – Emma did not race in Junior Dragster. Instead, she played softball and flag football. This 16-Year old, cheered on by her mom, dad, and friends, had an incredible start to the world of drag racing last night.

Emma Gunn made a few test laps weeks ago and her father thought that she was more than ready to enter her first competition last night.

The family attended Montgomery International Dragway’s warm-up race, leading into the big bucks weekend, and Emma won several rounds of competition, losing at 7 cars, the quarter-finals.

It was her first ever drag race and her first time racing her new S-10 Truck.

Emma mainly played softball during her grade-school years, instead of racing junior dragsters.
