After 65 years of occupying land along the hogback, a family deeply rooted in Colorado’s
racing legacy made the difficult decision to sell their property, Bandimere Speedway.
In a heartfelt video on Facebook, John Bandimere Jr. shared their journey of faith and trust in God, which guided them through an uncertain future. While they have not been operating races in Colorado recently, their commitment to continuing the racing legacy, started by their parents in 1958, remains steadfast.
This week, the family, alongside trusted partners, finalized the purchase of a 114 Acre parcel of land in the Hudson area of Weld County. This acquisition marks the first step in a complex plan to develop a new racing facility, with future negotiations for surrounding properties, zoning, and annexation still to come.
The timeline for these steps remains unclear, but the family expressed gratitude for the patience and support of their community.
Drawing strength from Philippians 4:6-7, the family emphasized the importance of prayer and trust in God during this transitional season. They acknowledged the prayers of their supporters, which have provided comfort and strength. In closing, they offered a prayer for their staff, racers, sponsors, and the Weld County community, asking for peace, wisdom, and strength, especially for those facing health challenges or loss.
The family promised to keep the community updated as the project progresses, expressing deep appreciation for the continued support and prayers.
