Rookie racer Wesley Moore suffered a head-on collision during a rainy travel day that destroyed his newly built Camaro at his first-ever Rocky Mountain Race Week. The crash also left Wes with a severe knee laceration requiring stitches.

Most would have called it quits, but not Wes. With determination and the great work ethic of the Moore family grit, he and his dad, Reggie, made a bold call: rip off the wrecked front end and keep racing—fenders be damned.

With the crew fully behind him, Wes not only continued but drove his wrecked Camaro to Thunder Valley Raceway, where he achieved a personal best of 12.15 seconds at 116.70 mph.

After the race, he drove himself to the hospital for treatment, cementing his place in Race Week history.
