We aren’t taken sides at DragCoverage, so it’s only fair that we post Elite Motorsports’ response to the Bead lock Wheel Disqualification and fine. The team took to social media and posted that “the last statement in NHRA’s message is a “blatant lie.”

Richard Freeman of Elite said “I don’t usually reply or post but in this situation I will…..the post yesterday stated the rules were illegal. The wheels aren’t illegal but 100% legal.”

“Today it’s the liner that isn’t proper. Also the last paragraph in this release is 100% false. In the end it’s 5k dollars and 100 point deduction in points which in my opinion is ludicrous.”

“Just so everyone knows, at the same event a TF car was found to have a safety and performance infraction that hasn’t had a press release or any point reduction…….the entire deal is a joke and the funniest thing to me is it’s actually a disadvantage!”
