$125k-to-Win IHRA Outlaw Pro Mod Nationals Set for This Weekend at Darana Dragway – Milan

Milan, MI — The IHRA Outlaw Pro Mod Nationals are rolling into Darana Dragway – Milan (formerly Milan Dragway) Friday, August 8, and Saturday, August 9, and with $125,000-to-win, some of the baddest Pro Mods in the country entered, it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest Pro Mod events of the year.

Names like Frankie “Mad Man” Taylor, Kye Kelley, Ken Quartuccio, Robin Roberts, Wes Distefano, Kallee Mills and Craig Sullivan are all locked in and ready to throw down for a massive $125,000 payday.

“We’re really looking forward to bringing the Outlaw Pro Mod Nationals to Darana Dragway,” said IHRA Vice President Doug Foley. “There’s a lot of excitement around this event — the $125,000 payout and 32-car field have attracted some of the best in the country. It’s going to be a great weekend for racers and fans.”

Also on the card: Mountain Motor Pro Stock with a $15,000-to-win payout and standouts like John Montecalvo and Dwayne Rice looking to make big moves. Top Sportsman racers will also be competing for $6,000-to-win.

Running alongside the main event, a 64-Car Top Bulb Shootout Bracket Race will add a new dimension to the event and allow racers of all kinds to participate on this big stage.

Opening ceremonies on Friday are slated to begin at 3:30 pm EST and Saturday at 3 pm EST with the national anthem and Fastrax parachuters dropping in with the IHRA and American Flag. Drag racing fans will also get treated to a fireworks show on both Friday and Saturday evening once racing concludes.

Tickets are available now at IHRA.com and are $40 for Friday and $40 Saturday, with children 12 and under are free. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to avoid a wait at the gate and use the “Fast Pass” line. Tickets will be available for purchase at the gate.

If race fans can’t attend in person, all of the action will be livestreamed on IHRA.tv and on Speed Sport 2 on Friday and Saturday at 2 pm EST and on Speed Sport 1 on Saturday at 6:30 pm EST.
