Ferris, TX – Travis Harvey snagged a huge $200,000 win at the Southern N/T Nationals 8 at Xtreme Raceway Park in Texas, driving for Tommy Youmans Racing. He got a last-minute call to pilot the car after Lyle Barnett stepped away for his expecting wife.
Harvey outran Justin Swanstrom in a highly anticipated final round, edging out the No Prep Kings star in a close race. This marks Harvey’s second straight Nationals win, having driven Swanstrom’s Prenup Texas to victory in 2024.
The Southern N/T Nationals, promoted by Jacob Harper, is the pinnacle of no-time drag racing, drawing top talent and big crowds.
Harvey praised the team, saying, “Tommy and Lyle gave me a killer car, and I’m stoked to bring it home.”
With Harper’s events, like the upcoming March Mania 5, pushing the sport forward, Harvey’s back-to-back wins cement his place as a no-time racing heavyweight.
