Altha, Florida — The Mossy Pond Volunteer Fire Department spent the day at North Florida Motorplex for a hands-on training session focused on emergencies that can happen at the racetrack. Firefighters walked through different scenarios they may encounter during events, making sure they’re ready to respond quickly and confidently.

In a post shared after the training, the department wrote, “Our department held a special training today at North Florida Motorplex to ensure proper response to the different types of scenarios that can happen at the racetrack.” They also praised the Motorplex for always putting racer and fan safety first, calling the facility “one of Mossy Pond VFD’s biggest supporters throughout the year.”
The volunteer-run department has served the Mossy Pond and Altha community for decades, and this training shows their continued dedication. Local racers and fans can hit the track knowing Mossy Pond VFD is prepared and on call.
