Johnny Ezell with Ezell Race Cars is stepping into 2026 with one of his most impressive builds yet, unveiling a brand-new 247-inch, single-shock dragster built for Tony Hill of Star Machine. While the car keeps the trusted Ezell backbone racers already believe in, this newest version represents a clear step forward and proof that his cars are at the top of the list of race car manufactures in the industry.

The shock angle has been revised, the wheelbase stretched to 247 inches, and the chassis now carries a cleaner, more modern look thanks to additional CNC-style brackets and refined details throughout.

One of the biggest strengths of Ezell Race Cars is how much of the process is done in-house. Inside their 10,000-square-foot facility in Livonia, Louisiana, the team handles everything under one roof—fabrication, powder coat, wiring, assembly, and even the paint and design work. Cars arrive as raw pipe and leave as complete, turn-key machines. What started as Johnny simply wanting to build his own cars has grown into a full-time operation sending dragsters to California, New York, Canada, and beyond. Having respected names like Tony Hill place orders shows just how far the brand has come.

For PRI, Johnny wanted a car that would stop people in their tracks. This dragster is fully painted from top to bottom—including the entire underside—with the design executed in-house just like the rest of the build. Mirrors are set up in the booth so fans can see every bit of the detailed artwork that normally stays hidden.
The new 2026 EZELL Race Cars dragster will be on display at PRI Booth #2708.
