STEELE, AL — The 2026 DragCoverage Night of Fire delivered its biggest event yet at Alabama International Dragway, once again proving why Night of Fire has become Alabama’s biggest drag race.
A packed weekend of racing was highlighted by a strong Pro Mod field and some of the best grassroots racers from across the region battling for the Night of Fire crowns.
Paul Gargus was the man to beat in Outlaw Pro Mod. Behind the wheel of the Scott Tidwell Racing 1969 Camaro, Gargus qualified No. 1 and finished the job Saturday night, taking home the 2026 Outlaw Pro Mod Championship.
In Nitrous Pro Mod, Kyle Megginson continued his Night of Fire dominance. Megginson raced his way back to the Winner’s Circle to become the back-to-back Night of Fire Nitrous Pro Mod Champion.
The sportsman winners included Taylor Jones in 5.30 Index, Connor Boyd in 6.00 Index, Dakota McSweeney in 7.00 Index, Brandon Taylor in Electronics, Erek Hallmark in No Box and Greyson Hagood in Jr. Dragster.
From packed staging lanes to a Winner’s Circle full of trophies, big checks and crowns, the 10th annual Night of Fire raised the bar once again.
