Big news is on the way for Atmore Motorplex in Atmore, Alabama.
After Atmore Dragway closed following its final race in 2025, many racers and fans wondered whether the gates would ever open again. The track’s story began in 1976, and for nearly five decades it brought drag racing, competition, and community together in South Alabama.
Now, several parties are working behind the scenes toward a possible comeback. There’s more to be done before anything can be announced as official, but the effort has created real excitement and it’s coming!
