We are happy Scotty Knight is home after a serious crash during his first pass at the Spring Fling Bracket Race at Bristol Dragway! According to Scotty, the accelerator stuck, causing him to hit both walls and total his race car, “My Daughter’s Inheritance.”

Knight said he was unconscious for approximately four minutes and suffered a cracked T10 vertebra, a concussion and whiplash. He expects to be sidelined for approximately three months.

Scotty thanked Bristol’s emergency crew and hospital staff, the racers who donated toward his recovery, and everyone who helped get him, Chrystal and his rig home. He also thanked Peter and Emily Biondo for continuing to check on him despite how busy they were running the race.

“Most of all, I would like to thank my girl Chrystal Neeley for being by my side through all this,” Scotty shared. “I would definitely appreciate y’all keeping the prayers going for us.”
