“We have a buyer!” That’s the announcement from Piedmont Dragway, bringing renewed hope for the historic track’s future.
According to the track, the buyer is a North Carolina native with deep roots in the drag racing community. Their identity and additional details will be released October 22.
Rick Moore and Bob Harris have been working to find a buyer, while Liz Vance has continued operations and kept this year’s schedule moving with the events the facility could offer.
For generations of racers and families, Piedmont has been a place to compete, build friendships and make memories. Here’s hoping this next chapter brings many more.
