Outlaw Street racers found plenty of horsepower at NHRA’s Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex—maybe too much!

Carson Baker’s 3.659 and Kyle Canion’s reported 3.63 were quicker than the approved 3.660 limit, tossing those qualifying passes out. Scott Taylor leads qualifying.

Ryan Martin faces Canion, while Baker draws Chris Rankin. In eliminations, quicker than 3.660 means disqualification. Both cars break out? Both are out!

Baker and Martin say they knew the rules and aren’t blaming NHRA. Safety equipment and licensing updates are planned for next season. Until then, tuners have a number to watch!
