EDR Motorsports: Accelerating Dreams with Sponsorship from MRCOOL® and Partners

Zac Fulcher, the 27-year-old owner and driver at EDR Motorsports, embodies the ethos of pursuing ambitious dreams fearlessly. In the heart of Kentucky’s motorsports scene, where speed reigns supreme and adrenaline fuels competition, EDR Motorsports, backed by MRCOOL®, prioritizes both racing excellence and family values.

Based in Western Kentucky, EDR Motorsports stands out as a family-run bracket racing team committed to representing their sponsors both on and off the track. While family remains at the core of their endeavors, the team has dedicated considerable effort to promote MRCOOL® and other sponsors, distinguishing themselves in a field where major sponsors are not always the norm. Although that’s unique for a bracket race team, Fulcher and EDR Motorsports is a testimony that it can be done!

Zac emphasizes a crucial approach to securing sponsorships: “If you go towards any business with your hand out for money you’re probably not going to make it very far, but if you can take yourself out of the picture and figure out how you can be a benefit and asset to that business that you’re approaching. At that point is when you will begin to come up with a recipe for success”.

Zac recalls; the early days of EDR Motorsports, which was founded In 2019 by Gary(Pop),Josh, and Zac Fulcher, “We had a lot of success racing locally and traveling to big money races that fit our budget, It wouldn’t be until 2021 when we were able to secure our first major sponsorship with MRCOOL®”. Zac added “We were always getting creative on how to make it to the next race. Whether it was flipping race cars and trailers or re-building transmissions, I feel all of these things we did for years helped us prepare for being able to showcase and provide value to the companies that we partner with”.

In an interview with DragCoverage, Zac underscores the team’s mission to inspire aspiring racers of all ages to pursue their dreams relentlessly. With a packed schedule spanning 15 weeks of racing per year, EDR Motorsports aspires to expand into multiple racing teams across various drag racing classes, fueled by their passion for the sport and commitment to serving sponsors and fans alike.

Grateful for the support of sponsors like MRCOOL®, Cargo Mate by Forest River®,Moser Engineering®, Chase Motorsports Coach & Trailer Sales®, Abruzzi Racing Transmission and Converters®, Get em’ Performance Carburetors®, Oakley Motorsports®, M&M Race Cars®, and Hoosier Tire®, RBZ Billet, STROUD safety, EDR Motorsports enters its fourth year of partnership with these esteemed brands in the 2024 racing season.
