Milton, FL — Joey Matin is arguably one of the most talented chassis builders in the country. The Milton, Fl racer has been around the sport for quite sometime now and has forever changed the sport, building one of the fastest door slammers on the planet; Brandon Snider’s 1963 Pro Extreme Corvette.
But I remember Joey Martin from the Chevy Monza days, when he drove his grudge car to the track. The most memorable Joey Martin moment for me was the time he rolled the Monza at Emerald Coast Dragway, after getting it checked from Japanese Auto Service, flipped ‘er back over, and continued to race.
Since then, Martin has built multiple door slammers that have made a statement in the world of drag racing. His latest creation is the Cathis sponsored Cuda of Australian racer Frank Mamone. We followed Martin’s build and photos of this master piece are posted below.
Marone will debut this beautiful hotrod at the Southern Outlaw Tour finale at Montgomery Motorsports Park this weekend. Stay tuned for more photos and videos.
