{"id":3152,"date":"2025-06-02T22:38:13","date_gmt":"2025-06-02T22:38:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/DragCoverage.com\/?p=3152"},"modified":"2025-06-02T22:38:13","modified_gmt":"2025-06-02T22:38:13","slug":"substitute-driver-danny-wachowski-walks-away-from-scary-crash-at-war-in-the-woods","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/DragCoverage.com\/?p=3152","title":{"rendered":"Substitute Driver Danny Wachowski Walks Away from Scary Crash at War in the Woods"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the War in the Woods race this past weekend, things took a turn when Danny Wachowski, filling in for driver Mat Gaskin, lost control at the finish line, causing a bad crash that left everyone shocked.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/DragCoverage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/img_5164-1.jpg\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3149\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\"><\/p>\n<p>Gaskin had to leave the event early because of a family emergency, so he asked Wachowski to drive his car, even though Wachowski had never driven it or raced on that tough track surface before.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, Wachowski walked away from the wreck without a single injury, thanks to a well built cage built by Edward Strothoff.<\/p>\n<p>Gaskin was thankful for Strothoff\u2019s great work on the car, which kept Wachowski safe.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/DragCoverage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/img_5162-1.jpg\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3151\" width=\"828\" height=\"964\"><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/DragCoverage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/img_5163-1.jpg\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3150\" width=\"762\" height=\"869\"><\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can replace a car, but not a person,\u201d Gaskin said, happy that Wachowski was okay and could go home to his wife.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d like to also send my condolences to my wife\u2019s family on the passing of her mother unexpectedly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was one of my biggest fans and always sent good vibes everytime we headed to a race.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\udcf8 Light Em Up Photography<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the War in the Woods race this past weekend, things took a turn when Danny Wachowski, filling in for driver Mat Gaskin, lost control at the finish line, causing a bad crash that left everyone shocked.
