Leadership admitted they fell short of the standard racers had come to expect and said the decision to close followed extensive reflection and evaluation.<\/p>\n<p>S&amp;W, a household name since 1959 \u2014 particularly throughout the Eastern Pennsylvania racing scene \u2014 built its reputation on chassis, roll cages, suspension components, engine mounts, and custom fabrication solutions that powered grassroots race cars across the country.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/DragCoverage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/img_1295.jpg\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3993\" width=\"940\" height=\"788\"><\/p>\n<p>Over the past four years, the company underwent new ownership and launched modernization efforts including machinery upgrades, system updates, and e-commerce expansion. While improvements were made, equipment failures, documentation gaps, employee turnover, and internal disagreements created mounting operational strain. The resignation of key employees \u2014 including two longtime staff members who later launched Liberty Race Cars and Fabrication \u2014 further disrupted sales and order fulfillment.
