DragCoverage continues to grow its presence in grassroots drag racing media with the addition of Kline Whitley to its leadership and editorial team \u2014 and fittingly, the announcement comes on Whitley\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Whitley brings a unique combination of professional experience, educational leadership, and lifelong involvement in drag racing to the DragCoverage brand. A pharmacist, college professor, racer, and dedicated supporter of grassroots racing, his connection to the sport dates back to the day he was born.<\/p>\n

Originally from Warner Robins, Georgia, Whitley grew up immersed in drag racing after his father began competing at Southeastern International Dragway in Dallas, Georgia the same year Kline entered the world. From junior dragsters at Silver Dollar Raceway to today\u2019s bracket racing scene, the sport has remained a constant throughout his life.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Outside of racing, Whitley earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia in 2016 before later completing his MBA in Healthcare Administration in 2024. Throughout his career, he has worked in multiple clinical pharmacy settings including hospital, pediatric, and neonatal care while also serving as a lecturer at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy.<\/p>\n

Despite a demanding professional career, drag racing has never left his life.<\/p>\n

Today, Whitley campaigns an all-steel, all-glass 1966 Chevy II while continuing a family tradition alongside his father, who still races a 1956 Chevrolet. More importantly, weekends at the racetrack are now centered around creating memories with his wife Elly and their two sons, Hayes and Callen.<\/p>\n

For Whitley, racing has always represented more than competition.<\/p>\n

That mindset and passion for the people behind the sport made him a natural fit for DragCoverage as the brand continues expanding its event coverage, editorial presence, and involvement within grassroots drag racing across the country.<\/p>\n
