According to Scotty, the accelerator stuck, causing him to hit both walls and total his race car, \u201cMy Daughter\u2019s Inheritance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/DragCoverage.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/img_7637.jpg\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4570\" width=\"1500\" height=\"2000\"><\/p>\n<p>Knight said he was unconscious for approximately four minutes and suffered a cracked T10 vertebra, a concussion and whiplash. He expects to be sidelined for approximately three months.<\/p>\n<p>Scotty thanked Bristol\u2019s emergency crew and hospital staff, the racers who donated toward his recovery, and everyone who helped get him, Chrystal and his rig home.
