Stephen “Champ” McCrory was crowned the 2015 American Race Cars 25K Showdowns Points Champion

Memphis, TN – The 2015 American Race Cars 25K Showdowns presented by Vintage Trailers is in the books and what a successful weekend it was as racers traveled across the country for a shot at over $70,000 in cash and prizes. When the dust and smoke cleared on Sunday, five different winners were crowned. Although mother nature was a threat for Friday and Saturday morning, Folk Cummings promotions adjusted the schedule and managed to complete the entire event. In fact, three races plus a golf cart race was contested on Saturday – great job Memphis International Raceway and everyone involved.

Stephen “Champ” McCrory kicked off the weekend of victories in his Miller Dragster after defeating Ricky Jones in the final round of the $10,000 race. McCrory put together a string of dynamic packages that led him to the final round, while Jones turned it red in the final round. It was an all Georgia final round. Stephen also thanked Mickey Thompson Tires.

Ryan McCann was the lone semi-finalist. The quarter-finals included Lester Adkins, Allen Wickell, and Kenny Underwood.

(Video Below) Buddy Ferrell Wins Showdown #1 for $25,000

The first 25K Showdown was completed on Saturday morning and Buddy Ferrell marched to winner’s circle after defeating Jesse Rogers in the final round. Rogers defeated Mike Smith of Roanoke, AL in the semi-finals.

The second 25K Showdown was dominated by a door car and it was John DiPiazza behind the wheel as he defeated Brodix sponsored racer Allen Wickell in the final round.

The race concluded on Sunday with Roanoke, AL racer Brandon Taylor driving his Phantom Race Cars Dragster to the winner’s circle after defeating Jantzen Melton in the final round. Gary May was the lone semi-finalist.

Gary Williams defeated Stephen McCrory in the final round of the 32-Car Shootout for the American Dragster and Vintage Trailer. Cody Graham won the OK Motorsports golf cart race after defeating Gary Williams.
