SNRA Invades North Florida; Fugitive Debuts New Car & Trashman Breaks Record at ADRL

The 2024 SNRA Season is under way and the Nitrous Promod Association heads to race #2 at North Florida Motorplex this Saturday and the stakes are already high as the anticipation builds for who is going to be this year’s champion.

But first, let’s talk about the ADRL Drags at South Georgia Motorsports Park back in March.

The SNRA league tried to hold off the weather in Adel, Georgia back in March 15-16 as 7 of the league’s members pulled up for ADRL’s Georgia Drags VIII at South Georgia Motorsports Park.

That weekend was the American Drag Racing League’s first 2024 race as the league hopes to continue making its comeback since its new owner Ryon Fears acquired the company in early 2023.

The 10-man Pro Nitrous class was unable to crown a winner Saturday due to inclement weather and county noise curfew. The drivers left at the end of round 2 were SNRA’s Ralph Edelen, Doug Riesterer, and Felix Garcia. The purse was split between these three.

Even though a winner wasn’t crowned at SGMP, the SNRA broke records. Raph Edelen set a new personal record and topped the SNRA elapsed time record with a blazing 3.700 second pass. Cole Measull also printed a personal record with a .932 second 60-foot.

There were two new debuts this weekend. JT Thompson and Team Fugitive debuted “Big Fugitive”, the ‘68 camaro by Tim McAmis Performance Parts.

And Cole Measell debuted his new all-billet 903cid Pro Mod engine from Pat Musi.

The weekend wasn’t flawless though. Doug Roberts and Ralph Edelen both ended the weekend with engines failures.

Drivers captured points at the ADRL event but race #2, April 27, will ultimately determine who takes the lead in the SNRA Points Series Championship.
