Danny Rowe, driver and owner of the fan-favorite Agave Underground Tequila Pro Mod team, announced today plans to debut a new 2015 Chevy Corvette Pro Mod at the Toyota NHRA Summernationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey, on June 4th.

rowe2The new C7 Corvette will come from celebrated chassis builder Tim McAmis and his Tim McAmis Race Cars shop in Hawk Point, Missouri, and will feature a custom vinyl wrap designed by renowned artist Rod Burke of Burke Designs.

“It’s a big departure, but it’s exciting,” says Rowe, who has exclusively campaigned vintage hot rods throughout his professional drag racing career, including his legendary 1938 Chevy coupe and the ’68 Chevy Camaro he’s raced the last several years. “As racers, you’re looking for every advantage you can get and we feel like there’s some aero benefits to this new Corvette body, but the fact is that we just love the looks of this new ‘Vette and we’re excited about being out on the track with something late model, something different, something a little bit more relatable.

“We’ve always had a great relationship with Tim [McAmis], so we’re excited about this new car,” continued Rowe. “Above all, Tim is dedicated to safety, and that’s a sentiment that we share and appreciate.”
