baker5Birmingham, AL — Joe Baker is set to return to the seat of a new Hot Rod in 2016 and it will be at the DragCoverage.com Spring Nationals at Atmore Dragway, April 30, 2015. The multi-NHRA Promod Winner from Milton, FL will be debuting a Joey Martin Race Cars (JMRC) 2015 C7 Corvette with a BAE 526 Blown Roots Hemi, specialized by CFH of Grant, AL.

This beautiful hotrod is a master piece, featuring a 2 Speed Lenco Drive, MSD Ignition, Strange Rear-End with Toms center section, Racequip seat belts, and a Safe Craft Fire System for emergencies.

Baker, who has steered the local “Medicine Man” Promod Studebaker to several final round appearances, plans to compete at Southern Outlaw Tour events at Montgomery Motorsports Park and the PDRA Boost class.

Baker said “I am looking forward to returning to the seat. It’s been nearly six years since the NHRA Promod but I have been fortunate to steer the Medicine Man, which has been fun.”

“We went to four finals in the PDRA with the Medicine Man which was really impressive. I’m hoping that we can come out with the new car and do well. But, I couldn’t do it without my crew who’s backed me over the years.”
