Moya takes ownership of SGMP; Donald Long Signs 5 Year Lease

Adel, GA — As of 2:00 PM Eastern time, Ozzy Moya of Orlando Speed World took ownership of the South Georgia Motorsports facility.

Immediately after taken ownership, promoter Donald Long signed a 5-year lease with the facility for his events.

The ManCup Motorcycle event should go forward per David Schnitz. Donald Long went on to say that all other events planned for this season will also go on as planned.

NHRA released a statement on yesterday saying that their Divison II event has been moved to Gainesville.

So where are the previous owners? Let's just keep that entire subject out of this article. There's good and bad news about this whole deal. The good news is that two of the best promoters in the business have taken over the facility. The bad news is, what does this mean for the 2014 track champions and racers?

Congratulations Ozzy Moya and Donald Long.
