PTC in Muscle Shoals, AL announced this AM that the company has been sold

PTC in Muscle Shoals, AL announced this AM that the company has been sold to Dusty Mewbourn.

Ford made the following statement: Let me start out by saying that I love this company. I have pictures of my grandchildren sitting in torque converter boxes when they were small. “

My older brother Terrell came to work for us in the late 90’s, early 2000’s. He worked here until he retired a few years ago. My nephew John boy has helped us for years. I’ve gotten to work with LaGail since the early 2000’s. Deda has also worked here since then, when she isn’t busy with her job as a RN. I have also worked with Lane since the early 80’s. I’ve been lucky to have my family and good friends around me for a long time Ive been going to the race track since I was a teenager and have met lots of good friends.

I still love to go race and the people I see there. As most know by now, myself along with my partners, Sam Law & Kenneth Green sold our company to Dusty Mewbourn.

We have been working on this for a few years and finally got it done a few weeks ago. Covid knocked it down a while back. We are thankful that a racer bought our company instead of a corporate machine. Dusty has very good plans for PTC. First things first is that I have to get all of my racing junk out of here so he has room to grow.

We haven’t really cared about growing too much as we have gotten older. We have been content. Now that the social security days are here for us we would like to enjoy them. I still plan on helping at PTC until the good Lord takes me home. I’d also like to be able to play with my cars some, which l’ve been doing since I was 14 years old. Please don’t worry about PTC, it’s in excellent hands. I’ll still be coming to the track, still taking orders and still rebuilding a transmission or two if needed. I’m going to be having a swap meet within the next month or so. I have to get this place cleaned up so Dusty has the room to get in here and do what he needs to do.

We want PTC to become a better company than it has ever been. I am thankful for the customers, friends and racers that I have met through our company the last 28 years. The good Lord has surely blessed me.

– Kenny Ford
