Katy said “Every morning we have the boys, we do morning hugs and if I forget one of the mornings, Daniel would remind me by saying “Hey where’s my morning hug?!” I never wanted that morning hug so bad in life like I did today. Daniel was the sweetest boy I ever met and always so happy. He was the best big brother the kids could ever have.”

Walls’ family stated that Katy was injured and airlifted to San Antonio hospital. Her family also says she has a long road to recovery, which will require multiple extensive surgeries due to fractures in several places.

Best friend Brittany Scruggs has setup a GoFundMe page to help cover medical expenses.
