Montgomery, Al — Do you remember the beautiful new Cuda that we recently did an article on that was built by Joey Martin Race Cars? Well, bad news…The team debuted the hotrod at Montgomery Motorsports Park this weekend and the outcome will make you sick; the team suffered from an electrical fire during the main event on Saturday which burned the rear of the car.

Sources tell DragCoverage.com that it was an electrical fire resulting from a battery. This has not been comfirmed. Photos below provided by Greg Worthington of Shaffer Oils and Lubricants.
What started out to be a great trip to the USA for the Australian Frank Mamone, ended in this bad accident. We wish the team a speedy recovery and great success.
